Previously on The Flash, geeky, perpetually late CSI Barry Allen was struck with a bolt of lightning which was caused by a freak storm the result of a malfunctioning particle accelerator. After having a nine-month coma, Barry awoke to locate himself endowed with super speed.
Working along side scientists Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow, and Harrison Wells along with his surrogate father, Detective Joe West, Barry uses his new-found powers to truly save people and help contain other meta-humans who also gained powers in the explosion. Read the episode summary below.
As Barry and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs work to capture Kyle Nimbusa.k.a. The Mist, a dangerous new meta-human with toxic gas powers, they revisit the painful night the particle accelerator exploded and killed Caitlin’s fiancé, Ronnie. Meanwhile, Joe decides to finally visit Henry in jail after all these years, but things take a dangerous turn when Kyle shows up looking to punish Joe for arresting him years ago. Meanwhile, Iris and Eddie continue to hide their relationship from Joe. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Alison Schapker & Grainne Godfree.
We’ll also get our introduction to Ronnie Raymond, who everyone knows failed to actually die in the accelerator accident but instead will appear as Firestorm in December. His reunion with Caitlin Snow may not be a smooth one, but that remains to be viewed.
