During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.
As expected with Ridley Scott films, the film itself is visually stunning. The particular landscape of Mars looks absolutely breathtaking, and the scenes aboard the Hermes and back on Earth are usually just as sharp in detail and scope.
The way he selected to make this film made it almost seem like an exceptionally produced biopic. Many times during this film, I legitimately believed that Mark Watney was a true, living, person that has been actually stranded on Mars for many months alone. Don't miss this movie guys.
